Hurt people hurt people

Just because they can

It gives them a sense of power

And a defense too against their own feelings

Which they find intolerable

And if you were on the receiving end

It can be so difficult to make sense of why

You were the unwitting target

Of all of that angst

All they did was download

Accumulated pain into you

And then they even punished you

For trying to tell of it

So now I think it may be time to let go

Who knows

I longed for you to love me

But I truly do not believe now

That you ever could

For genuine love is willing to look at itself

And examine the shadow

Will dig deep

To investigate the roots of what it did

And a loving person

Is humble enough to make

A sincere apology

And that is just something

You never ever ever

Did

All of your apologies

Always felt

So artificial

So begrudging

So lacking in any

True sense

Of love

Caring

Deep feeling

And true empathy

I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.

    1. Illusory or inwardly imagined archetypal figures like this I guess are one way of the ego seeking a power perhaps denied us in the earlier reality. To have to become thar aggressive to survive could I guess justify all kinds of further abuse. Me im not out to eat any one. I just want to live in peace.

        This is a quality in which I love and respect about you mate a rare commodity to see in the full sun of endless insanity these days.

      3. Anytime mate I was going to give you a ring today my time thought it would be too late.

        And I have really rough go today and yesterday couldn’t even walked yesterday today wee bit better still excruciatingly painful.
