I long for you
My heart aches
To know you are hurting too
Rivers of passion
Run as deep and powerful
As our wounds
You feel them
You feel them
They break you too
What is this life where just a taste of redemption
Comes with the rising up of forces
Bent on the prevention of us ever
Seeing, touching, tasting
Each other
And so we must surrender
Allowing our longing to be fed
Only by divine imagination
As for now the power that be have said
What you long for means nothing at all
And so once again both our souls
Tumble and fall
Deeper and deeper into the abyss
Of emptiness
You captured the feeling of longing and emptiness in this beautiful poem. I enjoyed reading it this morning.
