On fear and love

Because of fear, most people tend to be reactive and judgemental, instead of being proactive and loving. We judge others because we want more control over our own lives or we build an energetic wall around us that keeps others at arm’s length. This may be an unconscious way of protecting ourselves from being hurt, especially if we have been hurt in the past Every soul goes through various degrees of hurt during a human lifetime. It seems that hurt is a vital lesson in the awareness of a soul’s power.

In order to release the negative energy of fear we must look to see where fear resides in our lives . .(it) takes on many disguises – anger hate, resentment, judgement, shame, and guilt – and fosters feelings of low self worth and a lack of self respect. Living in fear stops our natural flow of vitality and brings forth emotional, mental, and physical traumas and upheavals.

Treat yourself like you would your dearest friend. If a friend shared a mistake he made….you wouldn’t say “How can you be so stupid?” Instead you would remind him of his good qualities and say….”You’ll do better next time.” You would reassure your friend that he is a valuable person, dear, and precious not only to you, but also to others. Would it be so terrible to say those things to yourself?

The power of love can help you transcend fear and change any life circumstance into a learning situation. To.incorporate love into every aspect of your life, you will.have to retrain your way of thinking into mindfulness gratitude, forgiveness and compassion. Using affirmations to guide a new way of thinking.

Be honest with yourself. Become aware of your thoughts and feelings. At the same time stop judging yourself. If you do get fearful, critical, or upset don’t fight yourself or make things worse by adding guilt to the other feelings. Release your inner conflict and know that everything in your life is there for a reason no matter how unpleasant it seems to be at the time.

"The religious naturalist is provisioned with tales of natural emergence that are, to my mind, far more magical than traditional miracles. Emergence is inherent in everything that is alive, allowing our yearning for supernatural miracles to be subsumed by our joy in the countless miracles that surround us." Ursula Goodenough How to describe oneself? People are a mystery and there is so much more to us than just our particular experiences or occupations. I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.

  1. Isn’t it terrible how our own minds can turn on us? Finding where your fear resides within you, see how unreasonable it is, is your way out! It was my experience. Learning to be gentle with myself, accept it is a symptom of PTSD and training your mind to acknowledge that and know I truly have nothing to fear, was my only way out. It has taken me the better part of 2 years, but it was well worth it. It takes as long as it takes.

    1. Isn’t that all so true and our inner self responds better to gentleness and understanding than harsh criticism, being loving and compassionate helps so so much. My own inner critic was full of fear too…so glad to hear you’ve made such great progress with your own fear, Stella, thanks so much for sharing your experience and sending you love ❤️
