You are loved

Believe in love

Let the river of your feeling flow

Be a soul who knows the truth

In this world there is no separation

As long as your heart can find the way

Through barricades of fear

To love

And liberation

Love is open

It sees beyond appearances

Into the depth

Love is patient

And even when it feels bereft

Love is able to know

That all feelings

All experiences

All challenges are

Survivable

As long as the circumference of our being widens

To include

These precious qualities

Mercy

Tolerance

Empathy

Understanding

And compassion

Ursula Goodenough How to describe oneself? People are a mystery and there is so much more to us than just our particular experiences or occupations. I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.

  2. This post is a beautiful reminder of the power of love and its ability to overcome fear and separation. The imagery of a flowing river and a heart that can find its way through barricades is truly evocative. It reminds us that love is open, patient, and all-encompassing, and that as long as we widen the circumference of our being to include qualities such as mercy, tolerance, empathy, understanding, and compassion, we can survive any feeling or experience. This message is a much-needed reminder in today’s world, and I am grateful for its reminder to believe in love.

    1. This comment of yours means the world to me Sebastian. I am so grateful for it. I recently had an argument with my sister out of old bullying pain it made me realise that the love we long for is the most important defining thing in our life.. When we learn to close off in the wound we cannot find the way home, back to our own heart. Its a challenging thing to be hurt as a child, we may learn to fawn and just long for love anywhere and sometimes give ourselves away to find it, but even then we can find a way home. And that consists in showing compassion, I believe for the small child in everyone who once suffered and some chose to build ongoing defenses against, if that make sense?
