Some things are so difficult to face
There are paths we walk down
That lead into wildernesses
Of tangled brambles and thorns
And there are ways we become frozen
We cannot even fully see
At the time
There are opportunities we may squander
Due to fear
Chances we regret not taking
And with old age
There is no reprieve
And no forgetting
As much as others tell us
To put the regret away
Or deny it
And still we have to find a way
To keep living
To not let those deep regrets
Derail us
Life is full of pain sometimes
Especially when our soul that drowned
In rising tides
Resounds its sonar deep inside
And as the waters move
We fear we are being strangled
Or dying
When really
Through this fearsome phase
Another more profound
And wiser part of us
Is being born
And we must, journey into, these, unknown parts of our own selves, to, discover the truth that had been, waiting for us to, uncover, and, we must feel, everything that comes with this.
Experiencing everything, fully, and properly, and, only when, this process had been weathered by us wholly, will we, finally be able to, emerge, as our, new, selves.

I hope so it feels a lot like drowning right now. Thank you. π

True. We cannot change the past, even although we wish we could. However, we can still take comfort in knowing we have grown in wisdom.
