The chakras, colors and angels : some insights into vibrations and healing for empaths

There are things we can use to heal that rest on energy and visualization as well as a better understanding of our energy anatomy as empaths.

The ancients understood the seven energy centers of the body and there is a lady, Anodea Judith, who has written about the psychological dimensions of each one in a book called Eastern Body Western Mind. Lately along with looking into the angels, elements, and the chakras I have been thinking a lot about how colors relate to each center and there is also an angel related to each center as well.

Today I wanted to talk share what I have learned.

The base chakra is ruled by the color red and the element of earth. It has to do with both our grounding in the world and connection to earth, it is ruled by the Archangel Urial.. When it is out of balance we lack a sense of grounding and security, this needs to be provided by our mother’s capacity to ‘hold’ us together in profound ways..

The sacral center is related to element of water and the color orange, it is ruled over by the Archangel Gabriel. This chakra this seems to relate a lot to our maternal feminine inheritance as well as sexuality and creativity, it is located around the sacram. The compliment of the sacral chakra is the blue throat chakra which has to do with finding a voice for emotions and creative expression and is ruled over by Archangel Michael (see below).

The solar plexus center is a ruled by the color yellow and the element of fire, and the Archangel Jophiel, it has to do with will, confidence and a balanced sense of personal power.. This center may be very blocked in many of us due to childhood emotional neglect and invalidation trauma which cuts under our confidence and sense of natural joy and exhuberence leaving us feeling very disempowered. We need the so called ‘negative’ emotions like anger and rage to rise up so this centere can be empowered but we have to find skillful ways to do this.

We can store unexpressed emotions of pain and anger both here and deep in the sacral center, this may led to the gut issues we struggle with on the path of co-dependency.. When we do not ‘trust our gut’ or get led astray by the mind or other confusing us, we may just feel that in our gut.

The heart center is ruled by the element of air and the color green, although pink can be related to the heart center too. Archangel Raphael rules this chakra and gazing upon green or forest bathing, breathing in that peace along with fresh air may help our heart… A lot of meridians from the heart chakra radiate down both arms and it is also very close to the thymus which connects it to the throat chakra above it. The heart enables us to feel and come into connection with the wholeness sensed in the higher centers but its condition is governed by how the other lower centers, most especially the sacral and solar plexus are operating. Some call this the balancing or bridging energy center.

The throat center is ruled by the color blue and element of ether,.. it has to do both with finding a voice and communicating our emotions and desires. Singing can help our throat chakra, as can laughing as when we connect to joy healing may stream though our other chakras too. Singing, chanting and toning are all activities that have been proven to be good for immunity.

The brow or third eye chakra relates to the pituitary gland, its color is indigo and it is ruled over by the Archangel Raziel.. the third eye enables us to see and sense beyond this material world but perhaps also to sense invisible presences enclosed within in it, it relates strongly to intuition. As a child we may be connected to the visionary through our higher chakras in a way that adults around us do not understand.. It is my intuition that so called ‘indigo’ children have this chakra very strongly developed and they may find it harder to be ‘earthed’ in this world and this may be a skill we need to learn in later life.

The crown chakra sits at the top of the head and connect us to our soul star. This chakra is totally open at our birth (and immediately after it Buddhist claim we retain complete memory of our past lives) The crown chakra slowly closes over in the first few months of life.

This chakra connects us to source, it’s color is violet. It is ruled over by the Archangel Zadkiel. The crown rules the cerebral cortex, brain and pineal gland. I believe this chakra can be very active during sleep states where we connect to a sense of depth and wholeness or get messages we may have to decipher in our waking life. The crown connect us to the cosmos and it is where we draw down inspiration to be used by the lower chakras.

When our so called ‘lower’ chakras are not as developed we may find it difficult to ground and own our personal power and heavenly or creative visions sensed in the higher centers in this world. Some of us have very open higher centers but poorly developed lower ones.. This is why it is very important as empaths we learn skills of grounding, earthing and connecting if we do not wish to be entirely swept away by the wave of all the emotions we are carriers for in a multi-generational aspect.

We can do a lying meditation in which we focus energy on each center in turn imagining the colors of each filling us with healing energies while praying to the associated angels for guidance if we have issues related to any organ of a particular chakra. As we lie there on the ground with our hands connecting us and breathing in deeply we can absorb insights and healing.

As a personal note, my experience of Archangel Michael is that even though he traditionally rules the blue throat center he has been able to help me with other issues related to personal power and my less well developed ‘will’ centre (the solar plexus). A golden sun visualisation he ‘gave’ to me in meditation late last year has helped me a lot when my vitality is low and my energy has been pulled upon by others.. This happens to us as empaths and may have an impact on the organs related to our digestive system, the kidneys, liver, spleen, large and small intestines.

"The religious naturalist is provisioned with tales of natural emergence that are, to my mind, far more magical than traditional miracles. Emergence is inherent in everything that is alive, allowing our yearning for supernatural miracles to be subsumed by our joy in the countless miracles that surround us." Ursula Goodenough How to describe oneself? People are a mystery and there is so much more to us than just our particular experiences or occupations. I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.
