Embrace your suffering

The wise man said

Kneel to receive it

And allow it a place to breathe

Deep inside of your heart

Feel the blessing within it

Do not run from what begs to find you

Do not turn away from the deeply hurting place

That seemingly fallow ground

That contains pregnant seeds of growth

Of your emerging spiritual self

Hold your soul still inside the fire

Until it burns it clean

Dance under a silvery moon

In that pile of ashes

Cry your soul an ocean

To drown the ego within

Await upon the rising of the sun

That is the slowly dawning

Healing light of wisdom

Awakening you to

A new dawn

A fully embodied life
