Reasons for misogyny

This a powerful video by Pastor R C Blakes on why men become so wounded they then try to overpower or disrespect women.. What he has to say about the man’s mother wound really relates to what was going on inside the head of my last partner who was so emotionally abusive at times. Women also get affected by this wounding when they begin to turn against each other or against kind and caring men who really are capable of being loving.

"The religious naturalist is provisioned with tales of natural emergence that are, to my mind, far more magical than traditional miracles. Emergence is inherent in everything that is alive, allowing our yearning for supernatural miracles to be subsumed by our joy in the countless miracles that surround us." Ursula Goodenough How to describe oneself? People are a mystery and there is so much more to us than just our particular experiences or occupations. I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.

  1. Misogyny is still considered an important part of being a man…esp. for my generation. How you define yourself against an inferior “other.” I realize now it is how I was raised, and every other man I knew. Maybe it is getting better…I hope. But you can still say the most vicious things about women in a room full of men and no one will ever call you on it 😢😢

    1. Yes it actually makes ne feel physically ill Jim. When young I feared boys and not without valid reasons. Ive just watched the gruelling documentary on Amy Winehouse. Her boyfriend tore her down at her lowest point while he also was a huge influence on her using. I’m not blaming him inly saying it sickened me the way he disparaged her. Been done to me so often it really is something I feel strongly needs to be called out.
