Do not tell me not to weep
When you fear the tears
And surrendering to your own grief
Or else just do not understand the challenge
Of such rocky terrain
Stand to one side
A safe distance from the heart aches
That you hide
Under platitudes
I will go my own way
A lonely path it is
And beset with many twists and turns
Obscuring truth
Then as darkness captures me
I dance above this strange abyss
Before falling
Deep inside the inky waters
Some twilight will comfort me
With time
Bright stars of infinite light
Will arise
But only after years of sleep
Heartbreak
And disconnecting
Then waking to a lighter morn
I will hear the cry of a distant starling
Singing of sunrise
And only after all of these tears
Have painfully cleansed my vision
Will I have learned
Such a difficult truth
Only I can give myself
Permission
To weep
happy V-day 💝💝

When I cry I tell myself I am healing, because tears are a balm for the soul.

That is true as someone told me they contain a mild narcotic and they come from.the soul so a person who cannot cry or give that expression somehow denies their own or another person’s soul. 🦋🌈🌷
