Responsibility

If I could save you

From this darkness

Then I would

Every day I open my heart

To feel the way

Even on those days the way forward feels

Torturous

There are paths that melt away

As we learn to face and embrace the pain

Not creating even more

Unnecessary suffering for each other

I know these tears will not be in vain

I also know I cannot save you

From your own choices

Just as no one else can save me from mine

And yet love lives on in the wishing and wanting to

Even as our illusions fall into a deep pool

Of dissolution

As we awaken to the truth

That all of life is

Choice

Responsbility

And change
