The child in you

The child in you

Still lives

Still aches

Still seeks its way to truth

Trust it’s feelings

Even when these seem to become

Too overwhelming to manage

Often our parents left us all alone

With the shadow of themselves

As they sought a way to survive

Lacking insight and inner resources

And so they bequeathed to us

Unintentionally

All of these wounds

But trust in the wound my friend

Let yourself dance inside of it

Slowly peeling away each layer

Of resistance

For here

Hidden deep inside

The painful germ of the wound

Lives a seed

Your magnificent soul waits upon you

Patiently to open

Embrace the wound

But do not continue to hurt yourself

Or others with it

And when others hurt you with their wounds

Engage your wise observer self

To seek the original hurting or rejection

Hidden deep inside that pain

And rise above the hurt

Or burn clean and clear

Through the fire of your anger

So you can open again after closing

And contracting in upon yourself

To embrace a fuller life

A wiser self

I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.

  3. Feeling a bit childish today Deb … I had a ‘covid’ test this morning, in preperation for my operation and hospitalisation on Wednesday … and now I’m at home, in isolation until then … Humbug .. 😎💛😏

    Been a minute hope all is well need to catch up you were on my mind the other day

    Its been a grind for me this week hopefully this upcoming week has more positive reflection
