Death is a sacred moment
A transition from one phase to the next
There are goodbyes we do not get to say
As silently the soul we loved
Slips away
There are learnings in the loss
Even as we struggle to let go and come to terms
With those pains we never chose
There is a revelation that arises
As our heart is torn open
There is a wisdom we gain in the silence
After the horrendous inner storms have passed away
There is no lesson or freedom
Another can give us
Apart from the one we must individually
Grapple with
Hurt is just hurt
And the painful splinter
Must, of necessity
Work its way to the surface
Over time
For no human soul has the power
To control or dictate
These the wild tides
Of our soul’s unique
And complex journey
Through this life

This is beautifully written. I love these lines, Hurt is just hurt “And the painful splinter, Must, of necessity, Work its way to the surface”. It captures grief. It is difficult, it takes time, and eventually we /it emerges. ❤❤ ( I hope that all is well in your world. You truly do write beautifully).

Thank you so much fir thus as it was promoted by a comment someone made trying to tell me to move in in another poem I was trying to do deep processing in. So this means so much because I often struggle with self doubt. Have a beautiful day. ❤ ❤❤
