Fear
I do not know why you stalk me
Like a hunter who keeps his prey in sight
As he casts powerful shadows of doom
Before him
Was it that he sensed my light
And feared himself that this kind of hope and promise
Could bring a happiness
That would defy the freezing hold of his
Life strangling grasp
I do not know
But lately I have grown more and more wary and wise
About his ways
So that when his noxious vapor starts to rise
I take myself out side to contemplate
The full radiance and magnificence
Of both sunshine and the stars
Surely so often
Fear and apprehension were all my lonely heart
Had ever known
But these days
The breaking light of a new dawn
Brings me hope
And then I remember the demon that stalks me
Is greedy for my life
But that I now have the power
To make
A kind and brave
And wiser choice
I will say my prayers
As I fill cup my emptying cup
With love
Feasting my being, heart
Eyes and mind
On serenity
Beauty
Peace
And gratitude

Love this one. Really powerful and beautiful message. 💕💕
