If my body is this
Deep ocean
Formed in the wild seas
And chaotic tides
Of ancestral life
Then it is never apart from this
The ground of the tumultuous past
That gave rise to it
So as its undulating rhythms and swirls
Spin my being this way and that
Remind me to breathe deeply
As my being expands
To encompass it all
In compassion
Even as the wild tide of its
Tributaries flow on through
Pulled by
The magnetic gravity
Of evolutionary moons
And the seasonal circulation
Of a spiralling galaxy
Of stars
Revealing portals of light
Within the indigo dark
Of the celestial canopy
I found this poem to be both beautiful and filled with brilliant images.
