Somewhere out long the horizon
A light is shining
That speaks of
Hope rising from the ashes
A hope
You lost the way to
Do not tarry here too long
Amidst the sad stories of these families
Full of dysfunction
This is not the place your soul
Could ever feel at home
Have you not yet grown
Bone weary
Of that painful old story
An empty tale of soullessness
That turns to ashes
In the mouth of the teller?
Instead open yourself completely
To the joy of spring
Embrace the glistening of that
Inner sunrise that dawns
As you turn to face
A new possibility
God knows there is suffering enough
In this life
To fill a billion volumes
But to find that inner ecstasy
To fully embrace
The hopeful dawn
Is that not what our souls
At depth are always
Longing for
After all of these painful tales
Of shattering heart break
Have been
Said and done?
I am definitely bone weary, and there is sure to be more chapters in my story, that is nature of my journey, as my willing heart continues on and on to climb up the starry stairway of my dreams …..
