I listened to this video by Jeff Foster again this afternoon, I believe I shared it with older followers four years ago.. What he speaks of still resonates with me and echoes something spiritual teacher and body intuitive Carolyn Myss talks of as ‘divine madness’ this is the suffering we go through and perhaps the wish to die to old false selves that is really going on for many of us as we being to wake up to who we really are as an eternal spirits and essence beyond so much of our conditioning..
I hope readers get something out of it again.. It made me realize that those times I am just with my sister quietly and even when I talk of our past give her more than offering directives or solutions, this is what triggered her with the friend of hers who she found dictatorial.
It may be hard for some of us to help those who are going through such a profound inner spiritual death/rebirth/transformation but those of us who receive this kind of gift from others at our lowest point (as I have at times) know how precious it is. Like Jeff there was a long period in which I did not wish to live OR die.. but I just was not in my essence.. that seems to be happening slowly and it involves a lot of deaths and sheddings along the way as well as a lot of recalling to mind key incidents that made living as my true self feel too impossible or dangerous
I hope you enjoy this video and the song following by Missy Higgins that talk of finding a way to befriend others undergoing the dark night experience.
Thank you for sharing that wonderful video and message. I loved the idea of not bringing more war into the room, definitely works for interacting with forces within ourselves too. His words really touched me, I do feel what he talked about is what I need in those low moments. Not answers or solutions, but acceptance and presence from another. So glad you shared this video, it feels very validating to me. β€οΈ

Yes he really is a light. Being present with someone gives more than a thousand solutions after all his primary message is we are not broken when we are suffering we really just need affirmation, support and love. π
