There is a place where I dream of freedom
A place where the air is fresh
And my spirit feels at home
Riding the waves of ecstacy
That carry me to rest
Within the arms of the one who loves me
With an infinite love
This is a place where I can just breathe
Where all thoughts and ideas fall away
And all I can feel is the pulse of love
Echoing through my heartbeat
It is a place
Where I can never feel apart
From creation
Or separate in anyway
Only later in life is this place of freedom
Revealing itself to me
Only lately can I feel the tight constriction of death
Releasing its crippling stranglehold
Of my trauma bound muscles
My troubled heart
And often lately
It seems to me
That this place could only be found
After so much pain and sorrow
So many restless nights of wishing for a brighter tomorrow
After waking over and over
To the sound of hope shattering
Some say the death of hope is freedom
Some say the fear of love is the only thing
That keeps us locked up in prison
But until we surrender our hearts and bodies fully
To love and loss and grief
How will our souls ever taste
The oh so bittersweet
Taste of freedom?
Beautiful! 💕
