I let my breath
breathe me
as I said to myself
enter your heart
while my head chattered on
Look, I said
can you just be still
for a second
Worry worry worry
these are jumpity monkeys
that only wish to disturb
this perfect moment of silence
Thoughts you are like the wind
coming and going
sometimes blowing my emotions
Into a restless frenzy
But lately maybe
the watcher is getting stronger
and I am becoming wiser
to the hollow promise
that there is anywhere better to be
than awake
and fully present and alive
within
this precious moment

There are, these rare moments in our lives, when our minds, hearts, and souls, move, in synch, and we should, cherish, these encounters, because, they are, just, too, rare…

You’ve captured the journey so well here! Beautiful and insightful poem. I love the line about the watcher growing stronger. I do feel that stepping out of self and observing brings so much power to the process and true freedom. ❤️

I always feel stronger and more grounded when I come from that place. often I Lose it but the center does return…
