Revealing his weakness and vulnerability

I know many who follow my blog are from other countries so I do not know who saw or heard or read about our Prime Minister, Scott Morrison’s speech yesterday which was (at last) an attempt to honor the depth of what women have been subjected to in terms of emotional and physical violence (addressing in particular recent allegations of rape by Minister’s of Parliament), but towards the half way point speaking of how he sought counsel from is wife (and was criticized over it) he was visibly distressed. It showed he was naturally out of his depth in terms of understanding and it made me think how some people are not capable of seeing the dark side in others or even their own gender.. It reminded me of those who suffer narcissistic abuse being told that they are somehow ‘making it up’, didn’t experience it like that, that it ‘wasn’t that bad”, or that we got it wrong on some level.. In the speech it was clear he had no idea of what this dark reality women undergo is and I honestly do not think it was an act as a man who was protected for most of his life it truly was so left of field for him.

It interested me a great deal that this speech aired as the Moon transited Cancer the sign of women and mothers (both strongly featured when he spoke of the love he has for his wife and mother) as it moved into opposition with Pluto in Capricorn late yesterday. For those who do not know the astrology chart of Australia’s federation has Sun in Capricorn and Pluto rules dark hidden things like abuse and violent will to power over others in terms of conquest (rather than in a spirit of equalization or power which rules the sign Libra that is also on what is called ‘the cardinal cross’ and squares Capricorn).

Interestingly Capricorn is ruled by Saturn and Saturn is at its most dignified in the sign of Libra probably for the reason an attempt is made to use wisdom and ‘objectivity’ to see the other’s point of view. By the way, the symbol for Capricorn is both the mountain and sea goat. Anyways we in Australia while undergoing our own Pluto transit in that sign may have to look at where the forces of Federation and colonization sought to over ride more so called ‘vulnerable’ minorities (and that is not even the right word to describe the indigenous peoples of this county who are so deeply wise on levels we ‘invaders’ are not) such as women and the indigenous or First Nation’s people in Australia.

For me and I am sure many other’s deep emotions were stirred as a result of Mr Morrison’s speech and it was good to hear him say he will be trying to address some of the issues of women, abuse and power. However, his speech also showed to me he is quite out of his depth as a person with all of this darker side of what so many woman suffer and many women in politics undergo .. My heart did go out to him.. but we need really tough wise leaders at this time who can get down and dirty to clean up the mess.. I keep praying change is happening and in time all kind emotional abuse towards not only WOMAN BUT THE FEMININE IN BOTH MEN AND WOMEN WILL BE A THING OF THE PAST..

The fact that he was prepared to be vulnerable was, I thought, at least a good start. one that gave my heart hope. He seemed to acknowledge in that speech that without the power of the woman in his life, doing what he does do in the world would not be possible. But it would be naive to not think so so much more needs to be done and even tougher truths faced by our leaders.. They have to have the guts to make the tough decisions right now to begin to deal with the climate that acted to repress those who were hurt and tried to speak out about it.
