Echo

the vibration of our lost souls

is an echo that calls

to our hearts from within the darkness

bending its way towards us

upon a refracted beam of golden light

this is the waking time

from the dark age

for all the world is not just a stage

and the earth needs more than

merely players

sometimes my self is so amazed

by the thousands of ways

we shut down

but from within the echo

nature’s healing vibration calls

“I am living being

a powerful heart of wisdom beating

resonating in all of my cells

with the death knells that humans

bring

when they block my vital force

forgetting I am the source

of everything

good

true

and beautiful”

"The religious naturalist is provisioned with tales of natural emergence that are, to my mind, far more magical than traditional miracles. Emergence is inherent in everything that is alive, allowing our yearning for supernatural miracles to be subsumed by our joy in the countless miracles that surround us." Ursula Goodenough How to describe oneself? People are a mystery and there is so much more to us than just our particular experiences or occupations. I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.

  1. To hear the chimes of our own echoes, can soothe our souls

    Echo’s

My night’s sleep was calm and sound
Despite the deafening noise of echo’s lost a found
I heard the midnight owl singing
Replaying tunes, of last year’s bells ringing

My blankets had not been disturbed
As if my shadow had slept unperturbed
And my mind had been emptied of yesterday’s wind burns
Then my morning song whispered the words, “sunshine returns”

      1. Yes Deb, I had a good sleep, and I’m writing a little poem, I think it’s nearly ok.. here’s a sneak preview…

Time on the Moon With a Tea and Lime

        now and then
        I see the sunrise again
        sip on tea and lime
        and dream for a time

        where are you old friend
hiding your face until the end
        and I hear a distant tick-tock
        buried under weathered rock

when it’s all said and done
my words fall one by one
        inking blues, line after line
and I care not the time

and sand flows drop by drop
        from the timeless clock
        touching her silent cocoon
on the far side of the moon
