Walk with me
Through this world of wonder
Open you eyes
To all the beauty
And mystery that lives
Beneath the surface
Discovering the healing pupose
That comes from treading lightly
And keeping an open mind
There is a way of living founded
On respect and kindness
Its an allowing kind of thing
That those who close their minds and hearts
Will never understand
So feel a little sorry for the ones
Who so long ago
Only learned to close their hearts
Have compassion for how it feels to live
Feeling separate and set so far apart
From true humanity
And know that if they ever hurt you
The problems lies in them
For how could they ever make friends with someone
They could only judge
As a little bit crazy
Too left of centre
Why should your heart break
All because they
Cannot open
Their mind and hear and eyes
To encompass the mystery
This is beautiful. I wish more people could take this compassionate perspective. Lovely writing.

I slip in and out of it as a frame of reference with those who cause me pain but a therapist once told me that the capacity to wonder about others helps us transcend our own point of view.
