Reaching for you

You and I

Well me met at a strange time

In that land far from home

Where we were so little known

And together we were thrown

By mutual friends

Who always warned me

Of your past history

And that it wouldn’t end well

And yet you and I we struggled

To reach for each other

As we wrote in each other’s journals

Sharing everything

That others souls failed to understand

But when the trying got too much

Our dreams began to turn to dust

As you struggled with the way I always

Feared reaching for you

And getting my fingers burned

For now I know

Love it is an ember

And if we don’t remember

To stoke the fire every day

Well sometimes love just fades away

Or confused lovers

Become scared of the burning flame

Lit deep inside a soul

So fragile and tender

With old unremembered pain

And so I know now

There really is no one to blame

For what you were incapable of

For I was a shattering satellite

Exploding

And when the gravity of your desire

Abated

There was no way the pain and trembling

And fear could be abated

And so you chose to walk away

Even while my hungry soul

Was ever so silently

Reaching for you

I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.

    1. its amazing how lines just pour forth when you go with the feeling of something you went through Ivor.. I am so appreciative when the Muse comes back into my life.. sometimes nothing flows and at others it all just pours forth.. thanks so much for your feedback.

Thanks so much..you know it’s taken me over 20 years in and out of the spy and recovery to understand levels if this pivotal time and relationship in my life so you are spot on..love it how you always understand thanks so very much..I know I keep saying it but you support and comments and validation means A lot.
