When life is darkest

When life is darkest

Hold my hand

When reason seems absent

Help me to understand

That sometimes the way of things

Makes no sense

To the part of us that aches

With the longing and the wishing

That there could be

Instead of this ocean of wilderness

A place where our being is

Connected

Bathed in love

When distance is the only realisation

That meets our gaze

For the moments in which we are

Trapped in a cage

That we did not choose

All for our own ‘protection’

Help our souls to find

The inner strength

And direction

To endure

Even when our bodies are aching

With the longing to be

Held within an calming oasis

Free our hearts and mind

From what braces us in resistance

To the dark passage

We must endure

Over time to find our rebirth

In you

And if the endurance

Of this reality brings weeping

Let it awaken us to the truth

That no human being

Is an island

I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.

      1. That’s what makes this situation so painful, in times of crisis the number one things humans do is band together. It is one of our greatest strengths.

        This virus has forced us all apart. It is painful. I hope that when this is all over we will hold each other tight and never let go.

      2. This may speak to your heart. I just heard that a band of people joined together to sing the song Close To You and sang and posted it on line.. In this time people are seeking ways to express love and connect.. I know its not the same as being able to hug each other but my feeling is that just as you say.. when this is over we will value touch so so much more.. Sending you love ❤
