Life in a day

Leaves sway

In hot summer breeze

These are the thoughts that I use

To sustain life

I did my best

I do not know the future

If I am to live

The answer lies in this day

The past is gone

May I pray that its power

To keep me stuck or recycling old pain

No longer holds sway

Let me live instead in love

Joy

Hope and possibility

Or if not

Just let my heart rest

Peacefully at home

Within this present moment

Fully awakened and alert

In consciousness

No longer trapped

In the negative projections

For those only become for me

A prison
