Surrender to this

Trust in life

Believe in the power of your soul to renew

Even deep within the hurting spaces

Carved out by pain

Release your soul to breathe

Freeing it from the contraction

Of bound up emotions

There is a river deep inside

So often frozen

Turning inner self to ice

But with the warmth of love

It all unthaws

And then the river seeks to run

Returning us to the source

Where we swim

Seeking the cleansing

Through the storm

Raising our vibration

Releasing the hold of fear bound into you

By the powers of oppression

That so negate the surge of life

Seeing it as a threat

Terrifying you into silence

Know this :

There is another way through

It lies in being and expressing

You

And letting go of what others think

Because in the end

It is not anyone else’s life

To live

Or dictate to you

What you can and cannot feel and do

And in every moment

There lies inherent

Deep within you

The potential

To renew

Ursula Goodenough How to describe oneself? People are a mystery and there is so much more to us than just our particular experiences or occupations. I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.

I’m home alone too, but it’s not smokey here in Geelong, although the bushfires have been horrendous in other parts of Victoria today…..My sister just rang, and they’re taking me out for lunch tomorrow, and we’ll catch up with Maddie at lunch too, me and Maddie(a family friend) both read a poem out at my sister’s……..I’ll think of you at Midnight ((Hugs))

      1. You express beautifully Deborah – just trust that everything is going in the right direction, even when you feel the tide is against you. Love is all around you and I can feel it through the comments you receive from so many people. We are never alone and the connection runs deep ❤️

I see things are not working out when really they are.. even in the darkest of times love is trying to break through . Thanks so much for that reminder.
