What do you see when you see me
Guardian of the threshold
Watcher who lives between the worlds
I feel you understand
Far more than you can ever say
As your silence bears testamony
To a deeper truth obscured
Behind the veil of words
Resting in the moment
You are fully alive
Whereas I sometimes
WIth all the tears I cried
Felt half dead
With truth belied
By all the self blame
I needed to shed
And lately I find
My soul surprised by a sunrise
I was not equal to before
Which now greets my awakening eyes
With a magnificence
Formerly unrecognised
Let us dance together
Full awake and alive
In the now
My precious guardian
Of the threshold
As we shed the skins
We need to shed
And find our souls
Surprised by joy
Must be an awakening experience that you have had, encountering, an enlightenment.
