We rode the tide
Far out beyond the breakers
We dove down deep
Within each wave
That tumbled towards us
Although fear gripped us at times
As the power of the swell
Rose up like a dragon’s head
And for a while
We found ourselves
Deep within the belly of God
Tumbled around within the rolling pitch
Praying for dear life
To bear ourselves through the turmoil
To the end of it
And there were times
We truly feared our lives
Would become a victim to the deluge
And yet now we sense the surge has passed
We float on our back’s
Gazing towards the stars
Gaining the briefest glimpse of heaven
Borne aloft
Under swathes of indigo
After the swim of our lives
Led us through the awful hell
Of manic swell
To taste the lasting calm
Of inner peace
Truly beautiful imagery throughout, swimming beyond rough seas and into calmer waters… loved it Deb.. xxxx

Thus one was in my drafts for a while, Ivor. I let the tide out today. βΊ

I love this, the thought that their is a point to keeping swimming during the rough stuff.
