Peace is here
In the spaces between thoughts
As gentle afternoon sun
Dances and entrances
With its pure simplicity
Gone from me now
Is the sting
Held within the memory
Of those lonely afternoons
Waiting for you both to come home
I am not that child any more
And never the less
That child still lives in me
But now I cover her in all the love I missed
Now I tell her how precious she is
Now I remind her
That despite the cost
She was never completely lost
Because in these moments of peace
As I rest within my heart
She is here with me
As I find myself
At one
Reunited
Indivisible
Complete
Wow resonate on do many levels with me
I admire your positive perspective on how you interpret your surroundings with such compassion.

Oh Deb, how I wish for those childhood feelings to re-emerge, but I know is not going to happen, and as you say, it’s about being comfortable with the peaceful moments that are coming our way these days……I think this old classic song, says it all… ((hugs))
