Can you bear with this
Can you open your heart to hear the pain
Will you show understanding too
Of the mistaken shame
That lies beneath
Can you bear to understand
How it feels to be
So completely obliterated by the pain
Of anguish…lack of love
And arrows send with jagged tips
That tore apart a soul’s sweet innocence?
Can you bear the wounded beast
That now lives within
And will you show it tenderness?
Even as its rabid claws tear deeply
Into flesh
Can you bear
To truly kneel
And kiss the bleeding places
That it creates
Within the soul
Consigned to
A haunted lonely wilderness
This is so haunting.

I think a legacy of deep.pain perhaps always leaves us haunted when we arent shown empathy..most especially.
