I found a link to a great article on what it really means when someone tells us we are being ‘too sensitive’ with valuable perspectives from 3 separate therapists. Very helpful.

My perspective if that if our parents cannot help us to mediate ‘big’ feelings we really struggle and then we feel invalidated later in life when we are blamed for something that came out of a developmental or attachment wound.
That said there is a school of thought that some of us are old souls and came here at a time culture is very wounded and so we may carry more feelings for everyone. Thus it hurts to be blamed again when it makes perfect sense.
Just some thoughts. What about yours?
