The devil with will try to convince you all the time
Of things that are not real
He will pray on your fears
And reduce you to tears
Sucking all the love of yourself
Out from under you
Making you believe that you are not
A beloved child of God
What is the wily way he has
What are the things he echoes
Through you
Sounding out their reverberations
Like a hollow cymbal
You will never be enough
You are not loved
And most of all you have to strive
While knowing always how utterly you will fall short
Of his imposed ideals
All unreal
None of which ultimately
Will with stand the test of time
And though his conviction grips you
While the force of his argument condemns you
Never the less
Within the hollow emptiness
His litany carves out
Over time you will come to hear
The call of your rejected self
Asking you to turn a deaf ear
Begging you
To give it up
This lack of love
And recognise
The devil’s voice
Could never be
A force of truth or love
Emerging From The Dark Night 
So true honey. Been having the same thoughts. You can’t let the darkness trick you and win

Im reading Paul Ferrinis wonderful book The Wounded Child’s Journey into Love’s Embrace and he has a great take on how the negative ego functions to defend, attack and keep us separate but this came through in meditation late last night. I had turned the computer off but I had to put it back on to write it. Interesting you are seeing this too, Fiery. Lots of love ❤
