Earth you weep for us at times
Scurrying around your surface like ants
Lost in a technological whirlwind
So often divorced from our deeper kin
Is it any wonder that at times
The weeping willow cries
At mankind’s severed state
And yet
Wait
It is never too late
For us sleepwalkers to awaken
All it will take
Is the haunting call
Of our souls and bodies in pain
As we slowly realise
We were not born to sustain
A life where our bodies bury
Hidden tears
And invisible longings
Deep inside
For reconnection with you
The mother that holds us
The clouds that cover us
The rain that soothes us
The ocean of rest and deep feeling
That calls to us from deep with our souls
Sleepers
Awaken
I long too for you
Please come home
Aesthetically wise.
Few are.
You are one of them.
