Wild and free

Wild and free is how I long to be

No longer as confined

Within the mind’s

At times

Oh so crippling certainties

There is a feeling of love

That the breeze carries to me

As I stand facing the sun

A pathway of light spread

Towards me

Across the lake

And how wonderful it feels

To be this alive

Knowing the each and every feeling

Makes perfect sense

When the limits of rationality

Are no longer tying me up

So much in knots

What a miracle

It is

To draw a free breath

To watch Jasper run around

So crazily

Following the scent

And as we head home

Under dusky skies

I have the deepest ever sense

That each and every single thing

I ever felt

Was always

Just as it was meant

To be
