my soul, awakening

my soul is with me

in the silence we sit

and share the beauty of life

the memory of loss

the remembering of the many paths we travelled down

and now that we are home

there is only peace

for a soul can struggle

when it remains buried or hidden

but the soul that is awakened to

can finally free our consciousness

from the restrictions of so many burdens

the trust we lost will be regained

when soul is met again

and we allow it to open up its secrets to us

as it takes us in silence deeper and deeper

into contemplation of

the profound and complex mystery

of our unique spiritual journey
