Try as I might
No words come
As all I hear is the crackle and hum
Of flames licking wood
Drawn by cooler air
Skywards
Pleasant just to rest here
Inside silence
Talk is cheap
Especially when it falls on deaf ears
And the greatest majesty
That I ever found
Revealed itself
In moments unspoken
Mouth struck mute
By the awesome beauty of a sunset
Or the unspoken poetry
Of glistening rain drop on leaf
So I think
At least for a while
It will be best
To leave words behind
As I draw comfort within my being
From the most profound beauties
That here surround my soul
Remaining
Unspoken
Deb,
This is beautifully woven. I can feel your spirit in the words. Brava!
