When you are scared

When you are feeling scared and weak and small

I will hold your hand

I will help you

By giving you the strength to stand

When your legs do not feel that strong

When wild tides threaten

This solid ground

Don’t you know that life is often

Never that stable

We want the guarantee

That everything will work out okay

And that returns will equal

All we invested along the way

But is this really the way of life

Is it a balance sheet

Or is there something deeper going on

The voice of fear will always try to whisper

Scary things inside your ear

Its up to you what you decide to do

With what you hear

Fear or faith

Which will you choose

Will you win

Or will you lose

And what will be the closing hand

I do not know

But when you are scared my darling

I will hold your hand

I will whisper words of encouragement

And I will help you find

Your own strength

To embrace your fear

And in this way

I will

Empower you to stand

I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.

  1. Oh, this is so much the story of life, our constant personal battles to stay afloat, and how we need a hand to through those times, when tide is against us and we’re struggling to swim through the under-tow……..

    1. I got a lovely card once about what a friend is and its said that a friend will hold your hand when you are scared and really listen while encouraging you We can do this for ourselves. I try to do it lately. xoxo
