Couer Rage
The heart’s rage
Let this be the fire
That burns you clean
Of the things that steal
Your spirit’s energy
Let yourself know the truth deep inside
And don’t believe the lies
They told when they said
You had to be strong
And carry on
When falling into your weakness
Holds such powerful lessons for you
You could not learn another way
A friend once said to me
To appear strong
Is to hide behind a rickety scaffolding of denial
But to be vulnerable is to be invincible
But there is a righteous anger too
That needs to come out
And yes some will look at you as if you are crazy
When you scream and shout
But what is this protest really all about?
Your souls knows the truth for you
And it will never lie
So trust the rage of the heart
And know that you will live in grace
When U RAGE
For the most important emotional truths
You feel and know
Deep within your heart
Are contained within this furnace
And the pain beneath
All the denied and buried grief
Will emerge to fall
Upon the ashes
Your necessary cleansing anger
Wrought
Bringing wisdom after the fire
Of the heart’s rage
Has burned your soul free
From deep within
Its prison cage
A glorious poem, and these lines were so poignant for me………
