I look at this mess
So many things floating in the ether
Flotsam and jetsum of ancestral pain
Late afternoon refrain
Of loneliness
That spans at least two generations
Reveberating here
Within my heart
Become this wild ocean
Impossible to contain
Just for today
I will surrender to this
Surrender to the tears
Surrender to the pain
No longer let the fear and anxiety
Drive me to distain
Or try to explain
Everything
This always was far larger than me
And I was always stretching 180 degrees
Away
Pulled by a tide
I could not fathom
Threatening to drag me
Six feet under
And when you say
You want to fill my loneliness
Its what my soul longs for
Sometimes
Not an end to emptiness
Which I am learning to trust
But
Yes to a person
Who might come for more than a day
Seeing me in all my phases
And choose to remain with me
Anyway
🖤

Whichever way go they’ll always be pain again, like the rain it comes and goes again, we get wet and we get dry again

So true Ivor… I think that’s exactly the way it is… it oscillates.. maybe when we can accept that we find more peace. Love to you ❤

“An emptiness which I am learning to trust”. This is so true Deborah. And emptiness hyrts, but in fact it is the best place to be. I have a piece stored somewhere that talks about emptiness. It is a GOOD place to be, and a. Ecessary one for progress. I too have felt this, and paradoxically emptiness is really fullness – if you see what I mean. Good poem Deborah xoxo

Absolutely Deborah. You and I are on the same path discovering the same things and it is amazing and beautiful isn’t it

Though we may cry a lot at times, and feel the pain, but then we reach a “clearing”

Exactly I think the soul needs us to feel this sadness in order to honour the deeper truth of things.

Yes, and we get criticised for it, but it is the only path to healing and wholeness xx

Criticism just comes from misunderstanding and fear, sadly. I don’t take it as seriously any more.
