Church bells ring
The whole world
Is singing with life
Far from strife
The flower seller
Chats to relatives
As the sun smiles
Down its blessings upon us.
Jasper lies
Tummy flat
On brick tiles
We are miles and miles
From the isolation and sadness now
And as gladness fills my heart
I am full of self forgetting
Though I remember too
Difficult things
As well as the lessons
Time brings
As we look back
To the chaos
In which we were trapped
And I realise
There is no map
For life
You just have to keep
Following by instinct
The road
That leads you
Home
