Set me free

Set me free to be myself

Fully alive in present time

Grant me peace from things long past

Fears, doubts and judgements

That cloud my troubled mind

And lead me down those roads

That ultimately lead nowhere

But round and round and round

Let me be as free as a bird

That loves to soar on high

Grant me rest and grounding too

A way to find peace

And move on through

Current triggers and upsets

Let me trust that all is well

No matter past decisions

Help me realise I did my best

No matter what painful incisions

Came from wrong roads taken

Erroneous conclusions

That may have been mistaken

Help me to realise

In my darkest moments

Not everything is forsaken

Grant me mercy and the trust to know

There is still a long way to go

A new way to travel

And a path forward

That will just naturally unravel

As I trust the process of living

Being naturally open and giving

Free from all that kept me

Bound up in the past

In such a deep dark prison

Ursula Goodenough How to describe oneself? People are a mystery and there is so much more to us than just our particular experiences or occupations. I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.
