In a dream you came to me
Blackbird
Chattering about things
Invisible to me
Taking me on flights that covered
The depths and heights of a landscape
That spoke of freedom
And upon our winged flight
I felt the heaviness of night
Fall so far from me
As we navigated continents
And vast oceans
On wings of light
And for a time all my feelings of lostness
Disappeared
As we soared with the peace
Of naked sympathy
With all of nature
On wings of life
I rode
With you black bird
Through the long night of dreaming
To the awakening of the light
Knowing for those precious hours
The feeling of being
So very far above
The earthly cares and sorrows
Of this life
Iām reading this while spookily about 15 blackbirds are fighting over food in the garden. Great piece. Thane Care.
