Confusion

If I remain silent

Please know I tried

And I loved you once

But I am tired now

And I am not entirely sure what to make of everything

Because desires I longed for

Now appear to be fruitless or selfish

Or only part of my own particular point of view

And sometimes lately I am finding it just too hard

To reach across the distance that separates us

But I hope you know that love is still there in my heart

Things that happened are now passed

What point will there be in carrying them on

Who knows what greater truths remain

Obscured by the silence

And I remember how many years ago you said to me

Deborah You need to learn the power of the unspoken word

So if I now remain silent

Do not think I do not care

Just try to understand

How much I live everyday

With such confusion

And that I am now finally realising

The folly of my self centred dreams of fusion
