If I hold this light
Please realise that rests within my capacity
To bear the darkest of night
And the deepest of sorrow
Knowing that no matter how harsh the storm
After it is done
New light will dawn tomorrow
Upon a landscape washed clean
For regeneration is the light of life
Borne witness through enduring cycles of decay
And so if I carry this light
It is only natural that some will fear me
When I try to come near
For they do not want
To enter and transform their darkness
Or wake from their fear
Lovely! Brilliant writing Deb! ❤
