Silence is my friend
This afternoon I just let my body sink
Into the twilight that lives on the brink of sleep
Where my soul just drifted like a feather on the breeze
Not bothering which way it blew
And I only dimly felt
The struggle to resurface
As Jasper dozed
So close to my side
What a relief
To no longer find myself
A stranger in this world
Of those who fit in
Maybe I was never cut out to be
Part of a world that mistrusts silence
For it is not empty
But full of depth this silence
Like a vacuum filed with calming breath of love
That floats as gently as a dove
Its wings beating out a soothing
Harmonic of soulful simplicity
Carrying me away on waves of bliss
To a place where
I experience my soul as free
Lovely! You can feel the peace coming through this poem :O) x

Aww thanks Gail. Silence is so peaceful isn’t it. It is really where I want to live lately as humans are so full of drama.. it gets exhausting at times. β€

It’s nice to escape inside sometimes. With silence you can easily do it alone or in a crowd. People can definitely be exhausting. β€
