An ode to WordPress

WordPress you soothe me

When my nerves become all jangled

From the electric buzz of getting all caught up in my head

Mixed up with feelings of anticipation anxiety and dread

What better place to go

Than to an open screen

Where amazing poets and fellow journey folk

Catalogue the joys and mysteries and woes

Of living

When I cannot seem to find my place

Out there in the world

Or just feel too exposed by open space

It’s to you that I return

For the deep dive in

As I open up page after page

Revealing minds and hearts and souls laid bare

Of sisters and brothers

Who seem more like my kin

That anyone or anything

It often seems to me

There is no cure out there

For all this hypersensitivity

That I carry all around inside of me

But here is where I find my home

And the best thing of all

Where ever I roam

I can always take you with me

For really you are not so very far

And your presence fills my soul with light

Like the very brightest and wisest of stars

Shining wisdom joy and love and peace

So benevolently from afar
