Ache is good for you, even though it doesn’t feel like it at the time. When someone breaks your heart, you can barely move from bed. And you start to question if you were ever good enough. All these messy thoughts inside your head. But your heart needs to break in ways that don’t seem fair. It needs to survive someone cruel and selfish and unkind. Because you will learn that life is only meant to be lived with someone who respects your hopes and dreams like their own. Heartbreak teaches you the very difference between a person who is no good for you and someone who would never leave you alone.

Someone shared some very powerful heartbreak on their blog yesterday over the pain of being left. I just happened upon this poem I shared last year by Courtney Peppernell. It seems so accurate to what I am experiencing lately.
