Unsteady

Lately the earth beneath my feet

Feels unsteady

I sense I am standing on shaky ground

Like a fragile raft bobbing upon an ocean

A deep sea of feeling that rolls this way and that

You told me quiet a while ago

Deborah its going to take some time to find your sea legs

But you know the ground was knocked out from under me so long ago

And so please don’t judge me

If tears fall now

For it seems I had to hold them in so long

Always pretending or fighting

Or trying to be strong

But now that you come with this promise of love

And money is finally there to free you

I am just facing so much uncertainty

There is a flood that could sweep us away
