Tether me

Tether me to your earth

When I have the impulse to fly away

Into blue skies of imagining

That do not set me free

Let me know that the body

I thought was for far too long

A prison place of pain and suffering

Can actually be soothed

With the healing power of touch

I ached for

Silently

Anchor me here

With your desire

Teach me

That an embrace

Can be homing place

Allow my ear to move

As close as possible to your breast

As I feel the powerful beating of a heart

That longs only for me

Let me know with all your wanting

That your being earth and life

Welcomes me

Like the parched earth welcomes rain

Seeking dissolution

Once again

Ursula Goodenough How to describe oneself? People are a mystery and there is so much more to us than just our particular experiences or occupations. I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.

  2. Deb your posts have been extra powerful lately and I’ve been reading them but lost my ability to think or speak temporarily. I can feel the aching for attachment here; it’s tender. You posted something recently, a link to a soul coach in Washington talking about Venus in Retrograde; it was so good! I checked out her page and read up on this moon phase which is all about identifying and nourishing our hungers and desires. It’s also about sex which I’m interpreting as our deepest desires for fulfillment, creation and expression. Anyway it’s speaking to me and I’m feeling hopeful for a positive and fulfilling shift. Thanks for all the wisdom you share. It means so much.

      1. I have a chart? Haha. I was really into Pythagorus in college and found astrology to be a very intriguing and as you say, powerful study. Thanks for the offer. ❤️
