Consciousness is a profound weight to bear
Once our eyes and heart are opened
We cannot go back to sleep
We have witnessed suffering
Far beyond our capacity to tell
Unspeakable terrors or horrors
That lay hidden under flesh
Buried deep
In the core of bone marrow
A feeling heart has eyes and ears
It has antenna too
That are always quivering
It senses and knows beauty peace and truth
And the exquisite pain
That comes from the rupturing or absence of these things
And that such absences and the bearing of them
Are the place of our becoming
Akin to birthing
Propelled as we are from mother’s womb
Buried in this tomb of life
Or laid down in an open field of wonder
All depending
On the circumstance
Consciousness is a journey
Of multiple contractions and expansions
And the price of transforming our view
Lays in being broken to pieces
Or dissolved in a ocean of suffering
As illusions melt
Or burn everything to ash
Consciousness
It comes at a high price
And is a heavy weight to bear
But once it has come
We cannot run
For our becoming
Conscious
Is a process that leads on to a place
That feels like death
And requires the greatest acts of courage
A willing surrender of our limited will
Along with the trust
That what pierces and opens us
Comes with an intention
Not of destruction
But transformation
Beautiful post… Just wondering if you would love me to join our October challenge and write about your awakening/ascension process and where you find yourself now? To co-create a free ebook to support others that are all beginning to awaken now! See this post… http://memymagnificentself.com/2018/09/17/a-selection-of-true-awakening-stories-part-iii/
