No matter what pain you have endured
I believe
You can still be a force for love
Your pain is the portal
Through to a heart
That wanted yearned and ached for love
And if the love you desired
Was absent
And then your gaze was turned back within
Could you find deep inside that chasm
The part of you that suffered in the void
And give your love to it?
They say that pain is what comes to us
In order to teach us lessons
And our pain does not have to be the final word
For through our suffering we can
If we so choose
Birth wisdom love and compassion
And in the tenderness we show
Towards our own suffering self
Lies the power to turn things around
And find the strength
To be a force for love
I love this… Pain doesn’t have to be the only the that you know β€

Deb,
I was just talking about pain with a friend of mine last night. I was talking about some of my reasons for writing, and one of them is pain. Writing acts as an emotional bloodletting at times.
Beautiful piece!

I so agree Marc, so much beauty comes out of pain in art and writing and expression. I love your soul and thanks so much for being here. β€

Although we do not think of them in that way, heartbreak, loneliness, pain are all learning tools.
Perhaps it is part of our evolution, to find true love we must experience true pain.
By the way, loved this write.

I didn’t manage to reply to them all but I so appreciate your friendship and support here. I hope you are having a good morning. It must be early hours there. Hugs to you Carol Ann. β€
